چکیده
The main characteristics of neuraminidase / sialidase from Influenza Virus and its peculiar nomenclature are described, as well two new, sensitive simple procedures (fluorometric by luminiscence) for measuring activity, which have been used at the Department Biochemistry Molecular Biology University Salamanca (Prof. J. A. Cabezas). kinetics three A B Strains, result comparison biological physical properties human animal origin (pig duck) belonging to same subtype A(H1N1), described. Finally, advantages risks use therapeutic agents against inhibitors Zanamivir, Oseltamivir Peramivir discussed. Keywords: sialidase; influenza virus;

Neuraminidase inhibitors as anti-influenza virus agents.
Influenza virus neuraminidase (NA) catalyses the cleavage of sialic acid residues terminally linked to glycoproteins and glycolipids and plays an important role in the replication of the virus. Recently, several potent NA inhibitors have been synthesized based on the rational design of mimicking the transition state of the sialic acid cleavage. Zanamivir and oseltamivir (GS 4104, the prodrug of...
متن کاملStructure Optimization of Neuraminidase Inhibitors as Potential Anti-influenza (H1N1Inhibitors) Agents Using QSAR and Molecular Docking Studies
The urgent need of neuraminidase inhibitors (NI) has provided an impetus for understanding the structure requisite at molecular level. Our search for selective inhibitors of neuraminidase has led to the identification of pharmacophoric requirements at various positions around acyl thiourea pharmacophore. The main objective of present study is to develop selective NI, with least toxicity and dru...

متن کاملAmino acid determinants conferring stable sialidase activity at low pH for H5N1 influenza A virus neuraminidase
Avian influenza A viruses (IAVs) and human 1918, 1957, and 1968 pandemic IAVs all have neuraminidases (NAs) that are stable at low pH sialidase activity, yet most human epidemic IAVs do not. We examined the pH stability of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian IAV (HPAI) NAs and identified amino acids responsible for conferring stability at low pH. We found that, unlike other avian viruses, most H5N1 IA...

In the United States, influenza infections occur in epidemics each winter, generally between late December and early March. Recent events, including human cases of avian influen...
